Elderberries have been used for centuries as a winter remedy and are valued for their naturally high vitamin C content and traditional immune-supporting properties. Our elderberries are hand-harvested at peak ripeness, selecting only the darkest, richest berries before carefully drying them in the drying shed at KoruKai Herb Farm.
We strongly believe that natural healthcare belongs in the home kitchen. There is something deeply rewarding about crafting your own remedies — stirring the pot, adding your own care and intention, and creating something nourishing for the people you love. We are proud to provide you with our hand-harvested elderberries grown on Banks Peninsula for this craft. The elderberries for this kit are harvested by hand, selecting the ripest and darkest berries. Then the berries are dried in our KoruKai Herb Farm drying shed.
Please note: Our ready-made KoruKai Herb Farm Elderberry Syrup is produced differently, using freshly juiced elderberries processed on the day of harvest. This DIY kit uses dried elderberries, which are more practical and convenient for home preparation.
