We are envisioning to offer a weekend workshop on ecological lifestyle block management. You will learn about holistic management and holistic planned grazing, foundation of soil health, plant diversity, fodder trees, ecological principles, pest and disease management and lots more (see more topics below). Rosmarinus officinalis
Native to the Mediterrannean, rosemary prefers a warm, moderately dry climate and a sheltered site. It is an upright woody herb with blue flowers. It flowers in late winter and spring and is loved by bees. It is a culinary herb with many medicinal uses (see below).
Order is for 1 bare rooted seedling.

Stachys affinis
The tubers have a distinct shape and look a bit like a grub. When eaten raw they are crisp and sweet like a water chestnut. When fried they are more starchy, soft and sweet, resembling a slightly nutty potato or kumara. In France they are known as crosnes and are typically served braised in herbs and butter, which is our preferred way to eat them. They are a great brain food.
Order is for a starter bag of about 5 tubers.

Scutellaria lateriflora
Skullcap is a premier nervine. It has a wonderful way of calming and centering the nervous system. Skullcap acts as a mild yet effective sedative and helps relieve nervous tension and anxiety. Skullcap can be taken over long periods of time to strengthen and reinvigorate the nervous system, making it more resilient and strong. It also can be taken in acute situations of extreme stress, such as panic attacks and trauma. In these situations skullcap works quickly to bring the nervous system back to a place of homeostasis and calm.*

Motherwort dried leaves and flowers
Leonurus cardiaca
Motherwort is very effective at tonifying and strengthening the heart and circulatory system. Energetically it helps people to feel lionhearted (note its Latin name Leonurus cardiaca), hopeful and full of life. Motherwort is potent bitter to aid digestion and tonifies the liver. It is also a strong nervine and can reduce nervous tension, relax muscles and ease menstrual discomfort and cramping. It is a common treatment for hot flushes and emotional upheaval. It is uplifting, yet grounding.*

Apple mint is a beautiful tasting mint. It can alleviate headache and various digestive problems.*

Cover Crop / Green Manure Seeds
This diverse mix has been blended to achieve maximum benefit. It can help with common challenges such as compaction, weed pressure, pests and diseases, low fertility, leaching and erosion.
This cover crop / green manure mix maintains living soil cover in areas that would otherwise be bare. This mix contains seeds from 5 plant families as well as legumes (nitrogen fixing plants), which has been proven in field trials to be very beneficial to build soil structure and to increase beneficial microbes in the soil. They help with the cycling of nutrients and create habitat for beneficial insects.

Solidago virgaurea
The aerial parts of goldenrod have been identified as having many beneficial properties including as an anticatarrhal, an herb which helps the body remove excess mucus. Goldenrod also contains high levels of the anti-inflammatory constituent quercitin, which, along with its astringent action, can help alleviate the symptoms of allergies.*
Harvested at their peak time in the middle of summer, gently dried and processed by hand. This retains their colour and medicinal constituents.

Lemon Verbena dried leaves
Aloysia citrodora
Lemon Verbena reduces inflammation, boosts the immune system, calms the stomach, reduces fevers and clear up congestion. A powerful herb and super tasty to drink.

Hyssop dried leaves and flowers
Hyssopus officinalis
Hyssop is a wonderful medicinal herb, which can be used as a medicinal herbal tea with soothing qualities useful to support the lungs during colds and flus* or as a flavouring for soups, sauces, meat and egg dishes. Use sparingly because of its strong flavour.

Lemon Balm has a pleasant lemony taste. It can reduce nervous tension, anxiety and improve sleep. It is also uplifting and soothing to the spirit and aids digestion. Its antiviral properties make it a great remedy for cold sores.*

Aromatic and very flavourful, peppermint is wonderful for the digestive system, acting as a carminative to reduce gas, ease nausea and sooth cramping. It is an uplifting herb and cooling to the body.*
