For these reason, we find it so valuable in our Skin Healing Salve. It can be turned into an infused oil, healing salve, liniment and face and body creams and lotions.
Internally calendula is a strong lymphatic. excellent for tonifying the lymphatic system and flushing out toxins. Calendula is a cooling herb that has anti-inflammatory and bitter properties and can be taken internally in tea or tincture form. Calendula is helpful for the monthly cycle as it may help to reduce the spasm in the uterus and relieve excess fluid retention.
We harvest calendula every second day on the farm. Each individual flower is harvested at its peak time by hand and gently dried in the drying shed, so the flowers retain their colour and constituents. No mass production here!
