NZ grown and adjusted to our climate.

These carrot seeds have been in our family for 7 years now. We love the reliable harvest of fresh carrots year round.

They are sweet, crunchy, versatile and so flavourful.

We love them raw, grated in salads, fermented, fried with some butter and straight out of the garden.

Botanical name: Daucus carota "Scarlet nantes"

This bush tomato is fantastic. No need to stake, no need to pinch out laterals. Very easy care and a prolific fruiter. Produces an abundance of fresh tomatoes for salads and cooking.

Alpinia galanga

Commonly known as Siamese ginger, Thai ginger or galangal, is a tropical evergreen perennial with a thick aromatic rhizome. It grows well in cooler climates and has been grown exceptionally well in a tunnel house at KoruKai Herb Farm, Banks Peninsula. We will grow some of it this year outside, so I will report back how that goes.

We grow the red variety, which is more cold hardy and does well in our South Island climate.

The galangal has been grown at KoruKai Herb Farm, Banks Peninsula. Free from synthetic fertiliser, pesticides and herbicides.

Calendula (calendula officinalis) seeds.

Striking orange calendula from our KoruKai Herb Farm collection.

We have bred these over the years and selected for very orange and large flower heads. They make a gorgeous medicinal oil.

This is our favourite tomato to eat raw and for salads. Low in acidity and great flavour.

It produces orange, medium sized and round tomatoes.

This orange tomato contains higher levels of Tetra-cis-lycopene which is easily absorbed in the raw fruit and helps to promote health and fight against cancer and heart disease.

Egyptian Walking Onions are also called "Tree Onions, Egyptian Tree Onions, Top Onions, Winter Onions, or Perennial Onions."

We love those onions and find them so much easier than growing onions from seed as we find the transplanting so fiddely. The success rate with these ones is a lot higher too. Onions store well for about 1 year in a cool and dry place.

Commonly called Jerusalem artichoke, sunchoke or sunroot. It is a type of sunflower.

Cavolo Nero Kale (Brassica oleracea var. palmifolia) seeds. Heirloom seeds organically grown at KoruKai Herb Farm.

Cavolo Nero is a variety of kale with a long tradition in Italian cuisine, especially that of Tuscany. It is also known as Tuscan kale, Italian kale, dinosaur kale, kale, flat back kale, palm tree kale, or black Tuscan palm.

This is our favourite kale and we have selected seeds from strong, healthy plants that do well in our New Zealand climate. We sow them in spring and end of summer and sometimes harvest from the same plant for over 12 months. That's generous, right?

Approximately 200 seeds per pack.

Mullein (verbascum thapsus) is an upright biannual herb growing a rosette in its first year and a flower spike up to 2 metres tall in the second year of its lifecycle.

In our moderate New Zealand climate they often grow a rosette in spring followed by the flower spike in late summer or even autumn. Seeds germinating in autumn may grow the flower spike in early summer after the winter period.

This is our family favourite and we have grown them for over 10 years now.

It is a beautiful sweet capsicum, full of flavour and very versatile.

Our kids love it raw. We also have it in salads, stir fried, in a curry, or pasta sauce, stuffed, roasted and fermented. You can also dry it and make your own paprika powder with them.
