Having a natural ability to grow plants is unfortunately not within all of us. A green thumb can grow over time and we are here to help you get started. With over 10 years of experience we can help you success in growing your own food. I remember very fondly when Kai and I sat down to enjoy our first meal from the garden. It was certainly life changing and we started to realise that growing food is becoming a necessity in the world we life today. Therefore we share what we have learnt through our horticultural training as well as our experience throughout the years growing over 90% of the food that we eat.

With this crash course in growing food we will teach you:
- how to raise plants from seeds successfully
- how to start a garden from scratch
- how to transplant tender seedlings
- how to grow carrots and other root crops successfully
- what plants to grow when
- integrated pest and disease management
- soil health and fertility, the soil food web
- feeding the soil and your plants: how to set up a worm farm and bokashi composting

You will walk away with a comprehensive booklet, two punnets with freshly sown seeds and fire in your belly to get started!

Grow your own food workshop

Thank you for a splendid day on your productive farm. It was so nice that you showed us all the sections , seed sowing , prepare soil , transplanting , Bokashi and Worm farming . Your knowledge of the Soil Food Web is really extensive , and you are entirely convincing about the mycorrhiza under the soil. I am fascinated all over again to do more research on the Soil. Thank you and your lovely family for the day.

Wonderful workshop

Thank you for a wonderful day yesterday. We really enjoyed your workshop and your lovely home and surroundings. Your introduction and telling us your personal background got me very enthusiastic. You and your family are heroes. The more people that attend this workshop or hear your message the better. It would be a dream for me to be able to provide all the vegetables for my family, but you and this workshop showed me it is possible. I think your coverage was spot on, you made room for questions but did not get too distracted from the time. I’m sure your notes will be my source of knowledge- I think I will need to get them laminated. Thank you for being a guiding figure; we need thousands of people like you so we can turn the way food is produced and the way we look at sustainability around.
