Making your own cleaning products is rewarding and empowering. You get to choose what goes into them, you source your ingredients and it reduces waste because you can refill your containers again and again.

But coming up with recipes, searching online and being OK to have a failure is not that great and can be time consuming. Visiting this workshop saves you from making something that doesn’t work or clogs up the spray nozzle for the 100th time… Ahhrgg!!

We have been making our own cleaning products for the last 8 years now and spent endless hours of searching the net and testing recipes. We have tweaked online recipes and have come up with some of my own recipes that work a treat.

We am looking forward to sharing our top 4 cleaning products with you – made with natural, environmental friendly ingredients and enhanced with natural essential oils.

You get to make and take home 4 cleaning products. You will also get all the recipes from the products made on the day so you can make them at home again and again.

We will make a Laundry Soap from scratch using the cold process technique. We will talk through precautions and we show you on the day how to make soap from scratch.

Products made on the day:
- Laundry Soap for tough stains and to go into the laundry powder
- Cleaning Paste for greasy oven, trays, shower and dirty sinks
- Laundry Powder
- All-purpose Spray Cleaner for surfaces, sinks and toilet

All ingredients are provided.

We want this event to be as environmental friendly as possible so please bring your own containers for the products. You will need 2x 500ml jar, 1x 500ml spray bottle that produce fine spray/mist.

If you don’t have empty jars or spray bottles, ask your neighbour, try a home ware shop or order at arthurholmes.co.nz
