This safe and cost-effective dairy-free yoghurt starter contains specific strains for culturing plant-based yoghurts.
Each pack contains:
Base: Organic Rice Starch, Agar
Culture: Streptococcus thermophilus, Lactobacillus acidophilus, Lactobacillus delbrueckii subsp. bulgaricus, Bifidobacterium
Contains: 5 Packs
Makes: 5 liters of yoghurt
COO: Made in NZ from imported ingredients
Milk to use: Your choice of plant-based milk. Refer to recipes for guidance.
Here are the essentials that you will need to make vegan yoghurt (not included):
- your choice of plant milk
- glass jar
- thermometer (like this one)
- Fermentation Flask or yoghurt maker that holds the temperature at 40 C for 8 hours
Shipping is with overnight courier (without signature, by NZ post) on the next Monday and Wednesday following the order. So orders need to be placed by Sunday noon to be sent on the coming Monday and at Tuesday noon to be sent on Wednesday. Please select rural delivery if you supply us with a rural address. We won't send the sourdough starter if the rural fee has not been paid.
