Thyme (Thymus vulgaris): With essential oils to fight bacterial and viral infections, Thyme is classified as a natural antibiotic to help build immunity.  Effective at relieving wet and dry coughs, as well as asthma.  Its expectorant action helps clear the air passage of excess saliva and mucous, resulting in a productive cough.

Plantain (Plantago lanceolata): Nature’s own antibiotic, traditionally used to treat colds, coughs, fevers and sinusitis.  It helps to expel phlegm and soothe inflamed and painful mucous membranes in the nose, throat, bronchi and lungs. Plantain is particularly useful to treat wheezing and asthma.

Hyssop (Hyssopus officinalis): Research has confirmed that hyssop is soothing to mucous membranes. It is a good expectorant and antiviral herb commonly used to treat respiratory conditions such as influenza, sinus infections, colds, asthma and bronchitis.

Elderflowers (Sambucus nigra): Elderflower contains powerful antioxidants and phytochemicals that help prevent free radical damage. The herb is comprised of several essential vitamins, including Vitamin A, the B-1, B-2, and B-3 complex, andVitamin C. A combination of these vitamins and phytochemicals, like flavonoids and quercetin, give elderflower its anti-inflammatory, anticancer and antiviral properties. 

Lemon Verbena (Aloysia citrodora): Research has connected lemon verbena with lowered oxidative stress levels and better overall health of the body, evidence by a decisive increase in white blood cells, the first line of defense for our immune system. Lemon Verbena reduces inflammation, boosts the immune system, calms the stomach, reduces fevers and clear up congestion. A powerful herb and a delight to drink. 

Yarrow (Achillea millefolium): The Native Americans made great use of yarrow using it to induce sweating to reduce fever associated with the common cold. 


TEA: Use 1-2 tsp. for a cup of tea (250ml), steep for 5 minutes and strain. Add honey if desired.

STEAM INHALANT: Boil 1 litre of water in a medium sized pot and add 1 tablespoon of the herbs. Place your face over the pot and cover your head and the bowl with a tent from a towel to concentrate the medicinal steam. Close your eyes and breathe deeply.

BATH: Add 2 tablespoons of the herb mix to a muslin stocking. Tie a knot and add this “tea bag” to a full body bath before bedtime.

All year long favorite

I like having this herbal tea in my cupboard all year long. Anytime I'm run down I'm of course prone to catch any bug. This tea helps building up your immune system to be ready to fight any virus passing through! Pleasant taste so I use it anytime of the day

    This tea is fantastic. I have bought it several times and find it especially useful when suffering an upper respiratory viral infection. It shortens the duration of illness and seems to cut through inflammation, especially in your head.
