Herbs are 100% grown on KoruKai herb farm on Banks Peninsula. Organic and delicious.

Meadowsweet (Filipendula ulmaria): Meadowsweet is used in the treatment of heartburn, hyperacidity, gastritis and peptic ulceration. Its gentle astringency is useful in treating diarrhoea, especially in children. It soothes and protects the mucous membranes of the digestive tract and stomach lining whilst reducing acidity. Studies have found that Meadowsweet can also promote the healing of chronic ulcers and prevent lesions from developing in the stomach.

Peppermint leaf (Mentha piperita):
Aromatic and very flavourful, peppermint is wonderful for the digestive system, acting as a carminative to reduce gas, ease nausea and sooth cramping. It is an uplifting herb and cooling to the body.

Chamomile flowers (Matricaria chamomilla): Chamomile contains antispasmodic properties that help relax muscles, such as those in the intestines and stomach. Chamomile has been used to treat digestive conditions such as colic, gas, diarrhoea, stomach cramps, indigestion and irritable bowel syndrome, to name a few.

Kawakawa leaves (Macropiper exelsum): Anyone suffering cramping, spasm or bloating can benefit from the anti-spasmodic effects of Kawakawa, which also helps to move trapped wind through the body and has a relaxing and calming effect on the digestion. Useful for inflammatory conditions of the digestive tract.

Fennel seeds (Foeniculum vulgare): In India, dried fennel seeds are incredibly popular as an aid to digestion and have been used for this purpose for thousands of years. Modern scientific studies on the properties of fennel seeds are showing that their rich volatile oil content is primarily responsible for these digestive benefits and ability to clear intestinal gas so effectively.

Directions:
Use 1-2 tsp. for a cup of tea (250ml), steep for 5 minutes and strain. Steeping the herbs too long may result in a bitter tea. A few slices of fresh ginger root can be added to a cup of tea. Sip as much as you like throughout the day.

Use as directed. If symptoms persist, see your health care professional.

30g loose herbal tea. Makes about 30 cups.
