We are limiting waste in our company overall and use recycled cardboard boxes for our parcels. We pack the majority of items with newspaper and use corrugated cardboard to protect fragile glass items. The compost thermometers come with a layer of bubble wrap because it is a fragile instrument. Also some of the glass weight might be packed in an additional protective layer.

Timeframes

Packages are generally dispatched within 1-2 working days after receipt of order and payment and are shipped via NZ Post/CourierPost. Please allow up to 5 working days for delivery of your goods with standard post and 2-3 working days with courier post. Allow an extra two days for rural delivery. Cultures and live plants are shipped at the start of the week (Mon/Tue) following the order or on the date stated on the product page.

Shipping General

NZ Post is the company we partner with to get your order from us to your doorstep. They have given us reliable, fast and efficient service for the last 6 years. We ship to urban as well as rural addresses and also to PO boxes. If you are unsure if your address is classed as a rural address then please follow this link to check your address: Address and Postcode Finder. All parcels are shipped tracked and you will receive your tracking number on the day your parcel is shipped.

Shipping Costs

Our shipping rate calculates automatically with the weight and volume of the products you choose. Shipping starts at $5.90 for Economy shipping within NZ and $7.90 for Courier upgrade. Shipping for seeds is $2.90 for up to 9 packs (depending on the size of the seeds). Rural delivery surcharge is $5.50. Please select rural delivery if you live rurally to avoid an unnecessary hold up of the delivery of your parcel.

Add items to your order

We advise you to group your items in one order. If you have forgotten an item and you have already paid for your order, you can choose "Collection from KoruKai Herb Farm" and no shipping fee will be added to your additional order. Please advise us asap via email ([email protected]) so that we can group your separate orders to one and advise you of the total shipping costs if we cannot fit them into the same parcel.

Breakages

We take extra care to protect fragile items for shipping. If a breakage during shipping happens please let us know by sending an email with a photo of the broken item to [email protected]. We will send you a replacement as soon as possible.

Collection from the Farm Gate

You can collect orders from our farm for free. Please select "Collection from KoruKai" as a free shipping option and we will send you directions via email. Orders can be collected within 24-48 hours (depending on the items in your order). When collecting orders please respect the running of the farm.

International Shipping

All international orders are sent by International Air. Delivery times vary depending on destination, please allow up to 4 weeks for delivery.

Shipping starts at $18 and is calculated automatically with the weight and volume of the products you choose and the destination. Maximum shipping costs are $50.

The same packaging guidelines apply as for national orders.

Delayed, Damaged or Lost Parcels

NZ post has been giving us a great service over the last 8 years and they are indeed the most trusted and reliable courier company in NZ. A small percentage of parcels gets misplaced, lost or delivered to unexpected places.
Please get in touch with customer support ([email protected]) if your parcel is delayed by MORE THAN 10 working days or has been damaged during transport. Make sure to count the WORKING days since the shipment of your goods and consider delays after long weekends and extended holiday times like during Christmas and New Years.
We follow the following procedure before refunding or replacing items:
a) an investigation is lodged with NZ post
b) we wait until we hear back from NZ post
c) after the investigation is complete and the parcel is indeed lost for more than 20 working days we will find a solution that suits both parties. This may be a refund or a replacement of the items.
